Classroom Support

Classroom support

Are you interested in working in the UK but you're not a trained teacher? Maybe travelling with friends who will be teaching and not too sure what work you can do in the UK?

Protocol Education works with nearly 1000 schools in London and about 3500 across England; we recruit not just teachers for these schools but we also recruit Teaching Assistants (TAs) too!

TAs work in the classroom alongside the classroom teacher; you are there to help ensure kids are learning, content is being taken in and assisting with students who may be struggling with work.  You may be assigned to a specific student or you may just be there to ‘float’ and help the teacher.

The best thing about these roles is you don’t have to have experience working with students! It helps (as it will give you more confidence in your role) however you’d be surprised how quickly you can pick it up. Don’t forget too that we run free professional development seminars in case you want to learn how things work!

Forget about working dodgy hours at night in a pub or doing temp work for £5 per hour; work in classroom support roles with Protocol, work 5 days per week and work more sociable hours too!
