Summer Term Begins

Lara had a lovely time traveling around but had to come back to reality to head into the Summer Term!

So after a whirlwind 12 day tour around Europe it was time to get back to work; quite a struggle after being used to relaxing every day. After getting back into my routine the adjustment wasn’t so bad though…well might need another few days to detox my body (from the food and lovely wine!).

Anyway as I mentioned I spent 12 days visiting wonderful sights all over Europe while making a great bunch of new friends. We started in London and went all the way to the beautiful city of Paris! We visited Amsterdam, Rhine Valley, Munich, Venice, Florence, Lucerne, Rome and Paris! So many countries in such a short space it’s a wonder I remember it all…thank god for a camera! I think my favourite city was Rome and not just for the food, but for the sights as well. I’m continually pinching myself that I am so close to all these lovely countries and I can just go and see them…it’s definitely the trip of a lifetime…as we said on Contiki #noregrets!

It is now Friday and I have completed a whole week’s work for the first week of summer and squeezed in a musical production as well (‘Wicked’ is a must see), although it still seems surreal that a few days ago I was still on my trip in a different city in a different country. I can’t wait for half term and I can travel again to somewhere new and exciting…loving half term hols!!

Right well that is all I have to say this week…so for those reading this enjoy it and if you are thinking of coming to the UK for a working holiday it is definitely worth the plane ticket! There is so many things to do in London itself and Europe is on your back doorstep literally!
