Protocol Education talks to.... an Australian teacher!

Protocol Education talks to... an Australian teacher.

Patrick is an Australian teacher who came to the UK almost 12 months ago. Recently, we touched base with him to see how things are going.

Protocol Education: Where are you based and what do you do?

Patrick: I am based in the South of London in Clapham in a school called Parkgate House which is a preparatory school that teaches from nursery (2 and a half) up to prep 6 (11) and I am the science co-ordinator who teaches prep 5 and the majority of science and ICT in the school.

PE: How long have you been at Protocol Education, and what do you like best about your job?

P: I have been with Protocol education for 11 months and I’m in a private school so the kids are super well behaved, but crave being challenged so it’s enjoyable academically stretching children.

PE: What did you do before you worked at Protocol Education?

P: I was a primary school teacher in rural setting in Queensland.

PE: You’re shipwrecked on a deserted island with only three other Protocol Education employees for company. Who do you choose and why?

P: I suppose my teaching mate I moved abroad with, a friend at my current school who is also a teacher from Australia and Shanda who found me my job. I would like to add I only know three people from Protocol, so they all win by default.

PE: What are your three favourite things in the world and why?

P: Food and sport and food.  Enough said.

PE: If you could be any animal what would you be and why?

P: A cheetah to be fast.

PE: Describe yourself in 4 words.

P: Can't think of any.
